How do I archive my photos from I-Cloud?

iMac with Retina 5K display, Mac OS X (10.4), iMac Yosemite

Set Photos/Preferences/iCloud to Download originals to this computer and then do a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 different drives.

Thanks mate, but you're not talking about ARChIVING.... I know how to put the items back from icloud.

By the way, I don't believe that i belongs with level 1;

So Archiving? How does this works? And unarchiving?
